Where to start? Counselling can feel a really difficult experience especially if you have lots of different things which have added to the way you are feeling. Part of that difficult feeling is the not knowing where to start, which bit of your life journey should be prioritised and talked about first.
The truth is you don’t have to start counselling by talking about your life and it’s advisable not to if you have experienced trauma because creating a sense of safety and an understanding of what your body is telling you it needs to feel calm and within it’s window of being able to cope might be far more useful to you at the start.
